Working days — Monday to Friday excluding public holidays — are the basis of many deadlines: notices, deliveries, withdrawal periods, leave days. Belgium has 10 legal public holidays, France 11 (including 8 May and 14 July), three of which are movable and computed from Easter: Easter Monday, Ascension and Whit Monday.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between working days and business days?
Business days include Saturday (6 days a week); working days are the days actually worked, Monday to Friday (5 days). This tool counts working days.
How are the movable holidays computed?
From the date of Easter (Meeus/Jones/Butcher algorithm): Easter Monday (+1 day), Ascension (+39 days) and Whit Monday (+50 days).
Are regional holidays taken into account?
No, only the national legal holidays are. Regional holidays (Community Day, Alsace-Moselle…) and sector closures are not included.
